We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems on commercial and residential job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install all fire alarm devices, including smoke detectors, duct detectors, pull stations, notification appliances (horns/strobes), and related field devices
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to determine device placement and wiring routes
- Pull and run the correct cable to designated device locations
- Troubleshoot and test devices after installation to ensure proper system function
- Work collaboratively with other trades on job sites
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements:
- Prior experience with low-voltage wiring, electrical, or fire alarm installation preferred
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts) and in various site conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
