Position: Global Freight and Transportation Operations Execution Specialist Location: Austin, TX Salary Range: $78,000 - $107,500 You’ll benefit from a supportive work culture that encourages learning, development, and career growth while driving innovative solutions for our customers. Key Responsibilities Service Level Performance Management: Escalation Management, On Time Performance, Missing, Wrong, & Damage PPM Cross Dock Management MBR Participation, Carrier Management New Volume Onboarding Defining Global Processes – all established processes applicable across the globe Communication cadence with shippers, suppliers, carriers, and within Applied; miscommunication leading to carrier failure is considered a process break (our responsibility) Manage carrier SOWs, uphold expectations, work with CBM team if an expectation is not met Establish clear & achievable SLAs/KPIs – review transit with carriers, review agreed transit time per pricing schedule, work with CBMs on Performance Plans Internal Promotions – create visuals/documents on carrier expectations, cover end‑to‑end process from EDI to Freight Payment Collaboration with Connectivity and Finance Teams – align expectations with Buyers/Logistics Coordinators, act as escalation point only Manage operational risks – track company‑wide closures, track market conditions (port strikes, holiday disruptions, etc.) and work with carriers on contingency plans Drive continuous performance improvements – improve both gross & net scores, identify areas of improvement, manage MBR Action Trackers POC and Escalation Point for CrossDock – regular meetings with Material Project Managers, CrossDock service provider; support issues between providers New Program Launches (e.g., CrossDock) – support SOP/SOW creation, establish expectations, transition manager for carrier change projects Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree 2-4 years of relevant experience in Logistics and Transportation Operations Knowledge & Skills Communication skills at all levels Sense of urgency, accountability, and timely project completion Problem‑solving – identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems Analytical mindset – use data to drive solutions Strong attention to detail Ability to deal with ambiguity High level of business acumen Work Location: Austin, TX Shift: Day (Austin) Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Relocation Eligible: Yes Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
