HR Talent Analyst

Blue Shield of California

Looking for a chance to do meaningful work that touches millions? Come join the hardest working, nonprofit health plan in California and help us shape the future of health care. Blue Shield of California's Mission is to ensure all Californians have access to high-quality care at an affordable price. Blue Shield is focused on improving health care delivery by working closely with providers and making it more accessible, affordable and customer‑centric. Being a mission‑driven organization means we do much more than serve our 4 million members: we were the first health plan in the nation to limit our annual net income to 2 percent of revenue and return the difference to our customers and the community, and since 2005 we have contributed more than \$325 million to the Blue Shield of California Foundation to improve community health and end domestic violence. We also believe that a healthier California begins with our employees, so we provide them with resources to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle through our award‑winning wellness program, Wellvolution. We're hiring smart thinkers and doers who want to work for a leader and innovator in the challenging, ever‑changing healthcare space. Come and help us make health care better for everyone. Job Description As a Talent Analyst, you work within a team of talent and organisation development experts and leaders informing the development and driving execution of our reporting and analytics, talent assessments, and processes and enabling data‑driven decisions across the entire employee life cycle. You actively and enthusiastically partner with the HR and business leaders to perform research and analyses on internal and external workforce metrics and trends, providing insights to drive decisions and actions that enable us to achieve our business outcomes and fulfil our mission. You report Senior Manager of Organisational Performance and Analytics and reside within the Talent and Organisational Development (T&D) team. Responsibilities You are a data and analytics enthusiast! You analyse internal and external talent data across multiple sources, to develop actionable insights related to human capital and talent decisions. You have high standards for quality: you continuously improve the team's ability to rapidly and repeatedly create data analytic products, thereby reducing the workload required to create and maintain them. You are conscientious and forward‑thinking, ensuring on‑time, on‑target and within‑budget analytics, data quality and relevant ongoing maintenance, refinements and other updates to processes, systems and tools. You proactively negotiate priorities, projects and resources to ensure you meet critical goals and objectives in a timely manner while adhering to high quality standards. You understand what it means to work on a system to improve it. You build relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and varying levels of staff and management to determine talent metrics and analytics needs and formulate approaches to address those needs; communicate, collaborate, coordinate and integrate efficiently and effectively on multiple objectives and priorities; keep all relevant parties apprised of developments, progress and other key information with the highest confidentiality. Qualifications Education/Requirements Bachelor Degree in a related discipline (data science, statistics, mathematics, or organisational psychology, etc.) from an accredited university required. Master's degree in related field (such as Industrial / Organisational Psychology; Organisational Science; Organisational Behaviour, Systems and Analytics; Statistics; Data Science, etc.) is a plus. 3 - 5 years of related professional experience. Additional Requirements You have an understanding of and experience in research survey / assessment design metrics design, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, algorithms. You also have experience with HR and talent management systems, workforce analytics packages and reporting platforms. You've managed projects, and you like being very organised, meeting deadlines, and keeping everyone informed of project status. In a proactive way. Details are your best friends. You take care of them. You are passionate about learning, thrive within a consistently dynamic business environment, and think on your feet. You propose a plan based on strategy, get alignment from key stakeholders, and execute the delivery on‑time and on‑budget. When necessary, you can (and even like to) work independently. Collaborating with others, building strong relationships, and sharing accountability works for you, too. You exercise sound judgement when managing sensitive and confidential information. #J-18808-Ljbffr Blue Shield of California
