Job Summary

The accounting assistant/settlement coordinator role's primary responsibilities are to coordinate and prepare final documents for residential home settlements.

Essential Functions

1. Prepare and organize documents to ensure an accurate and complete settlement process.
2. Analyze and organize all documents for settlements for distribution to community sales managers.
3. Record receipt of funds and settlement transactions in accounting software.
4. Schedule, communicate, and coordinate with buyers, agents, title companies, and lenders.
5. Reconcile contracts to ensure accurate revenue and settlement documents.
6. Process advances for construction loans.
7. Provide an elevated level of professionalism to clients and internal customers.
8. Accomplish other tasks as assigned by management.

4. Ability to maintain confidentiality in financial matters.

Required Education & Experience

1. Experience in bookkeeping and/or real estate & settlement experience is preferred.
2. Experience with Hyphen and Sage Intacct is preferred.
3. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
