Work Environment This position is remote, offering flexible work arrangements to accommodate our valued employees and ensure that patient care remains our top priority. Our team operates primarily in an outpatient capacity, allowing therapists to engage with patients in a comfortable setting that prioritizes confidentiality and personalization of care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ personal histories and tailor treatment strategies that address their specific needs. Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and promoting emotional well-being. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing processes. Lead engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences, develop essential coping strategies, and foster personal growth. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care. Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, acting as a steady presence for patients in distress. Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to empower their support systems. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation following legal, ethical, and clinic standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that emphasize advancements in trauma-informed care. Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously evolve therapeutic approaches. Patient Population / Client Focus This role focuses on serving individuals deeply impacted by trauma. Our patients often include those dealing with the aftermath of traumatic life events, and they may experience challenges such as PTSD, complex trauma responses, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise as a mental health therapist will significantly contribute to transforming their experiences and enhancing their emotional resilience. Qualifications A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting demonstrating a profound understanding of trauma-related disorders. Proven experience in administering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that align with our clinic’s mission and patient needs. Strong ability to communicate empathetically and effectively, with exceptional interpersonal skills conducive to building rapport with patients. Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technological applications relevant to mental health care delivery. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
