Urgent Care Registered Nurse

Location: Kearney, MO
Pay: $58.80/hour
Job Type: Contract (Temporary)
Hours: ~35 hours/week
Work Setting: On-site (patient-facing)

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care in a fast-paced outpatient/urgent-care style clinic environment. This role includes patient assessment, treatment administration, EMR documentation, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop appropriate care plans in a clinical setting
• Administer medications (oral, injectable, IV, topical) as ordered
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient condition, and treatment response
• Perform/assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Document accurately in an EMR ( Epic preferred )
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects/interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked clinic environment
• Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams

Schedule / Shift Details

• Shifts are typically 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours
• Schedules are created in 6-week blocks after training/orientation
• Expect 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend
• Some major holidays may be required
• Includes an initial ~3 weeks of training/orientation (must be able to complete without time off)

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of work (must be in good standing; compact licenses must be issued in the primary state of residence)
• BLS certification (expiration must be at least 30+ days beyond start date)
• 1+ year related healthcare experience
• Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or ER
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccines, and point-of-care testing
• EMR proficiency ( Epic preferred )
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
