Senior AWS Cloud Architect

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead architecture design across multiple cloud environments supporting a large-scale innovation and analytics program. This position will define enterprise cloud patterns, design secure and scalable solutions, and guide implementation teams across a complex technical ecosystem. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

• Architect multi-environment AWS infrastructures supporting research, development, testing, and production workloads.
• Develop secure IAM architectures aligned to least-privilege principles.
• Provide solution architecture for application modernization, COTS integration, and cloud-native application design.
• Govern architectural decisions and maintain system design documentation.
• Support development of ATO-aligned materials and security architecture artifacts.
• Optimize cloud performance and cost management.
• Participate in Agile planning and provide architecture oversight across teams.
• May serve as the program's Vendor Technical Lead, coordinating daily technical activities.
• Deployment/operationalization activities.
• Ongoing maintenance/operations partnership.
• Conversion of prototypes into production tools (prototype-to-prod).

Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role

• Extensive experience architecting enterprise AWS solutions.
• Deep expertise in cloud networking, IAM, security architectures, and multi-account strategies.
• Demonstrated experience producing enterprise architecture documentation.
• US Citizenship and ability to meet federal clearance requirements.

Desired:

• Experience with cloud cost optimization and enterprise governance models.
• Experience guiding teams within Agile delivery frameworks.

Compensation for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $198,400.00.
