Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for accurately reconciling accounts, data entry into Quickbooks. This role ensures compliance with company policies and maintaining precise records.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile company credit cards promptly and accurately.

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable(AR) transactions and invoicing in Quickbooks.

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and handle vendor payments.

• Manage and submit Oklahoma State sales tax submissions.

• Collaborate with team to meet processing deadlines.

• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to spot errors in high-volume submissions.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with remote workers and resolving queries professionally.

• QuickBooks.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Working knowledge of Excel.

• Organized and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment with variable schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).

• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipment (computer, mouse, keyboard, calculator, scanner, copier, and telephone).

• Must have close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus to read computer screens, financial documents, and spreadsheets accurately.

• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 20 pounds (such as files, boxes of documents, or office supplies).

• Ability to move around the office as needed to collaborate with team members, retrieve files, or attend meetings.

• The role is primarily sedentary with minimal physical exertion required beyond standard office activities.

Work Environment

• Professional office setting with standard lighting, temperature, and noise levels.

• Routine use of office equipment and prolonged computer screen time.

• Occasional off-site meetings or errands may be required (minimal travel expected).
