The Role As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Distribution & Warehouse Operations Manager. The Distribution & Warehouse Operations Manager leads multi‑site warehousing (receiving, put‑away, storage, inventory control, picking/packing, shipping), 3PL overflow operations, and outbound transportation from the plants to North American distribution centers, as well as order fulfillment and distribution to one direct‑ship customer. The role ensures inventory accuracy, on‑time/accurate shipments, carrier performance, safety, and cost efficiency, and partners closely with Materials Management, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service/Order Management, Quality, EHS, Finance, IT/Systems, 3PLs, and carriers. Systems: SAP. This position is onsite in Rochester, NY Schedule: This is primarily a 1st shift position with oversight of all Rochester warehouses. The Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Warehouse Operations (3 Sites) Distribution, Transportation & Direct‑Ship Fulfillment Cross‑Functional Integration Compliance, Safety & Risk Continuous Improvement & Cost Management The Individual Required: High School Diploma or GED 7–10+ years in warehousing/distribution/logistics. Demonstrated success with transportation to DC networks and direct‑ship customer fulfillment. ERP/WMS/TMS proficiency (e.g., SAP IM/WM/EWM, TM, or equivalents); strong data discipline and master data acumen. Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, hazmat (as applicable). The Key Working Interactions Internal: Production Managers, Production Planners, Buyers and Quality External: N/A The Work Environment The work environment characteristics are representative of an office, manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues and samples. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines. The Physical Demands Position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more at least 35% of the day on a regular basis. Walking, standing, and climbing for long periods of time (up to 50% of the day) are routine to accomplish tasks in this role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must operate a forklift approximately 15% of the time.
