BUSINESS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY)

Job Summary Support the efficient management of all operations by implementing comprehensive business support functions, including procurement, grants management, and data support. Location 69 W. Washington, Chicago, IL. Responsibilities Implement comprehensive business support functions such as procurement, grants management, and data support. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to the Bureau/Department, ensuring compliance with statutory and strategic mandates. Provide technical guidance and assistance to staff and stakeholders. Assist with various projects and consult senior staff on complex issues and challenges. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher. Two (2) years of administrative, analytical work, or directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Veteran Preference Preference is given to honorably discharged Veterans who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States for more than 180 consecutive days, or during War Time. To qualify: meet minimum qualifications; identify as a veteran on the application; attach a copy of DD‑214, DD‑215, or NGB 22 at application. Physical Requirements Sedentary work that may involve lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally or a negligible amount frequently, walking or standing for brief periods of time.
