Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day-shift position requiring an active AK RN license, BLS, ACLS, and on-call availability.

Details

Work in the Cath Lab of a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care hospital
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call required one day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Friday 1800 to Monday 0730)
Approximately one Saturday per month as part of the scheduled shifts
May float within scope to EP or Interventional Radiology (IR) as needed
Scrubs provided by facility
Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

Active AK RN license required in hand for auto offer
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Experience with Cath Lab procedures and skills per unit description, including hemodynamic monitoring, sheath removal, and interventional catheterization support
Full SSN and DOB required for submission
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting, including hybrid OR and IR support
Facility is a Level II Trauma Center and recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Only one time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
