We are looking for a friendly and dependable Receptionist to support daily front desk operations in Portland, Maine. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, managing incoming communications, and keeping the office running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings strong phone etiquette, professionalism, and the ability to handle multiple priorities throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors professionally and serve as the first point of contact for the office.
• Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls accurately and efficiently to the appropriate departments or team members.
• Respond to inbound calls with courtesy, provide basic information, and relay messages in a timely manner.
• Maintain an organized reception area to ensure a positive experience for guests and staff.
• Support routine administrative tasks such as handling correspondence, scheduling, and general front desk coordination.
• Monitor daily office traffic and assist with communication flow between internal teams and external contacts.• Prior experience in a receptionist or front desk support role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system handling 1 to 10 lines.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous telephone manner.
• Comfortable managing a steady volume of inbound calls while maintaining accuracy.
• Reliable organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks at once.
• Availability for a part-time schedule.
• A detail-oriented presence and customer-focused approach in a workplace setting.
