Associate General Counsel, IP & Commercial Contracts | Total Wine & More

Garrison has been retained by Total Wine & More to recruit an experienced attorney to join its legal team as Associate General Counsel. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the intellectual property and commercial contracting functions for a large, multi-state retail organization while helping shape and improve the company's contracting processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the company's IP portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, brand protection, and licensing. Draft, review, and negotiate significant commercial agreements, including vendor, technology, marketing, and other business contracts. Oversee and enhance the company's contract lifecycle management program, including templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and contract management tools. Manage outside counsel on intellectual property, commercial contracting, and other matters, including strategy, budgets, and outcomes. Support the legal department on corporate, operational, and other matters as business needs evolve. Qualifications: 10+ years of legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or combination of both, with significant intellectual property and commercial contracting expertise. Experience developing or improving contracting processes, templates, playbooks, and approval workflows and familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems. Strong business judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and handle legal matters outside one's primary area of expertise.
