About the Practice Our practice is a dynamic patient centered primary care environment that integrates comprehensive family medicine services with a Walk-In-Clinic.  We are proud to support our team of 18 family medicine providers and 4 walk-in clinic providers, working collaboratively to deliver accessible high-quality care to our community.  

Our clinic support team is highly skilled and cross trained to work seamlessly across both family medicine and walk in clinic settings ensuring flexibility continuing of care and efficient patient flow this model allows us to effectively meet both scheduled and same day patient needs while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience and clinical excellence. We foster a team-oriented culture that emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and professional growth. Team members benefit from the exposure to a wide range of patient care scenarios supporting skills development across multiple service lines.  Our practice is committed to operational excellence, quality outcomes, and delivering compassionate care in a fast pace of supportive environments.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work 

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Hours of Work

Monday 8:45 a.m. - 7:15 p.m.

Tuesday 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Wednesday 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Friday 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred

• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

• One of the following Required within 120 Days

• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
