Step into a dynamic educational setting near Ionia, MI, as a School Social Worker, and play a crucial role in students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. This contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 24, 2026, through May 14, 2027, with a 37.5 hour work week. You'll make an impact across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom, directly supporting a caseload of approximately 40 students in an in-person environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Possess active approval from the Michigan Department of Education for School Social Work
• Background in supporting young learners, particularly at the elementary and preschool levels
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals
• Expertise in case management, behavioral interventions, and providing crisis support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct school social work services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Partner with teachers and staff to develop and implement intervention strategies that enhance students’ wellbeing and learning
• Conduct needs assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Serve as a vital resource and advocate for both students and their families, ensuring support systems are in place
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
