Bar Manager

Position Description:

Responsible for the management of the club’s bar and multiple beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional member and guest service while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, sanitation and profitability. Overseeing daily bar operations, staff performance and training, beverage inventory, purchasing, cost controls, and compliance with club policies and applicable regulations. Reporting and working directly with the Food and Beverage Management team to enhance efficient bar operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of all assigned bar and beverage outlets.
• Provide a high level of personalized service to club members and guests while maintaining the club’s service standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach and supervise bartenders and sta?.
• Develop and maintain beverage menus, specialty cocktails, wine selections, and other beverage o?erings.
• Manage beverage purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory levels.
• Monitor beverage costs, pricing, portion control, waste, and overall profitability.
• Work closely with the Food and Beverage Director and leadership team to coordinate service for club events, tournaments, banquets, and private functions.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and appearancethroughout bar areas and storage spaces.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol-service laws, club policies and safety regulations.
• Monitor member feedback and proactively address service concerns.
• Build strong and respectful relationships with members, guests, vendors and fellow staff.
• Assist with on-boarding of new bartenders and drink preparers.
• Taking tables when necessary, assist with moving furniture and setting up events, working directly with F&B Management team on private functions and private dinners.
• Other duties as assigned.
