Summer 2027 Internship - Financial Markets

Position Overview Wholesale Banking – Financial Markets Summer Internship (June 2027, 10‑week). Location: New York, hybrid work model. Full‑time, paid seasonal position. Responsibilities Work on financial markets products including Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Equity, Total Return Swaps, Equity Lending & Repo, Fixed Income, Repo. Assist senior traders and salespeople with administrative tasks related to deals and transactions. Conduct research and provide project assistance to other FM professionals. Prepare credit analysis and written reports for transactions. Perform due diligence and revise presentation materials. Support multiple sales and trading desks, providing client solutions with trading and sales of financial markets products. Qualifications & Profile Undergraduate college student (graduating 2028) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related field. Graduate students may also be considered for certain roles. Liberal arts majors interested in careers in finance and banking are welcome to apply. Experience & Knowledge Prior internship and/or relevant financial experience preferred. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and especially Excel). Financial modelling and credit writing exposure helpful. VBA and/or programming skills are a plus. Competencies High level of performance motivation, eagerness to learn, strong multi‑tasking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Flexibility and stress resilience, ability to work under deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills; persuasive, organized, articulate. Upbeat, highly focused individual. Compensation & Status Hourly Rate: $45/hour. Status: Full‑time; Paid (Seasonal). Start Date: June 2027 (10‑week Summer Internship).
