Job Title Registered Nurse – Med Surg Step Down (IMC/PCU) Location Newton, MA Schedule / Job Type Contract | 36 hours per week | Day/Night Rotating | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00a–7:30p and 7:15p–7:15a) | Includes holiday and weekend rotations Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg Step Down / Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU) setting Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between general med surg and intensive care Rotate between day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state eligibility Current BLS certification required Experience in Med Surg Step Down, IMC, PCU, or comparable acute care setting Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in an intermediate care or progressive care unit Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a dynamic step down environment with a collaborative care team Contract position offering schedule variety through a rotating day/night structure About Concentric Healthcare Staffing Founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
