Job Title : Operations Supervisor


Client : Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company


Duration : 24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)


Location : Springfield, MO 65803


Shift : 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) | OT on Weekends Possible

Job Description:
• Supervise production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals
• Manage assembly and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment
• Train, onboard, and develop team members for operational success
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot workmanship issues
• Implement and sustain safety programs and housekeeping standards
• Manage staffing, schedules, and workforce adjustments based on production needs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
• Monitor department performance, productivity, and budget targets
• Work with safety teams to maintain compliance and reduce workplace risks
• Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and work rules
• Support maintenance planning to maximize equipment uptime and utilization

Required Skills:
• Manufacturing or distribution operations experience
• Leadership and team management experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience working in union environments preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, JIT, and production systems
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• SAP experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• 2+ years of factory/manufacturing experience
• Project management and continuous improvement experience
• Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Management, or related field preferred
