Travel NICU Registered Nurse - $2,205 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates and infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services within a Level IV NICU. The role emphasizes family-centered care and requires experience with complex neonatal medical and surgical cases. Job Details Position Description: Day/Night, 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm and 7:00pm to 7:30am. The schedule includes Monday through Friday with 2-3 weekends per six-week period. Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications; minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, including at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU; experience with post-operative patients, G-tubes, trach/vents management, ventilation modes; experience with Epic charting system. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP). Responsibilities: Provide critical care to neonates including those requiring surgery, ventilatory support, and complex medical management. Assist with procedures such as lumbar puncture, blood draws, and use of specialized equipment like ventilators and cooling therapy. Certifications: BLS, NRP required; PALS preferred. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, rotating schedule. Submission Requirements: Applicants must meet all required qualifications, and pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria, including two attempts for both adult and pediatric tests.
