About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 03:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC required Must-Have: Epic experience required Telemetry test must be passed prior to being cleared to start Description: Eve/Night shifts, working 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive care supported by a full team of subspecialists. Each year, the department sees more than 60,000 patients requiring urgent and emergent care. The facility is designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. It provides rapid, evidence-based treatment for complex conditions. The department supports nationally recognized programs in ECMO, transplant, oncology, and burn care. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various specialties. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits can reach up to 200. Floating to other areas may be required as needed. The nursing staff manages a high acuity patient load and works collaboratively with ambulance services for critically ill patients. Nurses should possess strong clinical skills in a variety of emergency situations. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing emergencies, including trauma, cardiac, and respiratory conditions.
