The person in this position will provide paralegal support to litigation attorneys in the Business and Legal Affairs Department.**How you'll CREATE:*** Support policing of infringement of our content, including the investigation, evidence collection, confirmation of rights, and working with counsel to assert and pursue claims* Research claims asserted by and against UMG business units* Assist in responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, liens, and levies* Assist with a comprehensive quarterly report of legal matters affecting the company, including liaising with other attorneys, departments and agencies for updated information* Review and summarize contracts* Prepare and revise agreements, charts, memoranda, correspondence and other documents* Provide administrative support, including preparation and handling of correspondence, expense reports, and travel arrangements* Other duties as assigned by supervisors**Bring your VIBE:**Skills/Abilities:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; extremely detail-oriented* Professional demeanor and sound judgment* Follows up on delegated assignments through completion* Self-starter, who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projects* Ability to multi-task and prioritize; works well under pressure* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively* Excellent typing and computer skills, including in Word, Excel, OutlookExperience:* Advanced computer experience: Microsoft Word (including tables and redlining), Excel* Prior experience as a paralegal, with preparation of claims, or contract analysis is a plusEducation:* BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university**Perks Playlist:**Join an entrepreneurial, global organization where authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight aren’t just values—they’re how we work every day.
