Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This temporary pharmacy technician role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic pharmacy team in Clearwater, FL. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm over a 13-week contract, you will play a key role in supporting prescription processing and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, managing insurance claim adjudications, resolving rejections, and preparing medications for pharmacist verification. You will also handle packaging, labeling, data entry, and communication with patients and prescribers. Maintaining accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring is crucial, as is assisting with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures. Cross-training across pharmacy functions and supporting department needs will help maintain a smooth workflow while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with preference given to those who have some call center or customer service background. A high school diploma or GED, current PTCB certification, and a valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing are required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting are essential. Excellent communication skills will enable clear interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
