- Perform visual and nondestructive inspections of structural steel welds per AWS D1.1 standards
- Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, engineering drawings, and WPS/PQR documents
- Verify welder qualifications and maintain certification records
- Monitor welding procedures to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code
- Conduct pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld inspections
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports
- Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Review welding Procedure Specifications, building and welding plans, keep record of equipment calibration, and welding materials.
- Monitor the welding process
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
- PQR, WPS, WPQR
- D1.1, D1.3, D1.4 and D1.6
- Bilingual a plus
