Senior Interior Designer

Job Roles And Responsibilities Lead interior design development from conceptual and schematic phases through construction documentation and administration. Collaborate with project leadership to develop design direction aligned with client goals, budget, and schedule requirements. Provide design leadership and mentorship to junior and mid level interior designers. Develop and present interior design concepts, including multiple design schemes for client review. Coordinate interior design integration with architectural and engineering disciplines. Oversee development of interior design documentation including drawings, specifications, and finish plans. Review and ensure accuracy of construction documents, drawings, and specifications. Conduct space planning and design development including functional layouts, ergonomics, and code compliant configurations. Participate in and lead client meetings, presentations, and design discussions. Oversee selection of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment based on function, aesthetics, cost, and durability. Ensure adherence to design intent, building standards, and applicable codes including ADA and life safety requirements. Perform site visits and support construction administration activities including RFIs, shop drawings, and field observations. Maintain project schedules, design deliverables, and coordination with consultants. Support budgeting, cost control, and value engineering efforts across project phases. Contribute to business development efforts including presentations and proposal support. Maintain and organize design libraries, resources, and internal documentation systems. Qualifications And Certifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field required. Minimum of 10 years of professional interior design experience required. Experience in interior design leadership, project coordination, and team supervision required. Professional certification such as NCIDQ preferred. Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required. Strong understanding of space planning, building codes, and construction documentation required. Experience in construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and site visits required. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills required. Experience working across multidisciplinary design teams preferred.
