The Role The Food Safety Supervisor ensures a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment in the CookUnity Commissary. About you Organizational and leadership skills. Analytical and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates versatility and ability to maintain multiple tasks. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills and knowledge. What you’ll do Ensures the operations of CookUnity Commissary follows the King County and Washington State Department of Health Food Safety requirements. Ensures compliance with the HACCP plan and maintains logs. Manages the receiving, cooking, cooling and packing processes to ensure compliance with HACCP plan. Reports/tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action as necessary to management. Establishes and presents regular training sessions for the quality control team and fulfillment employees on safety issues. Participates in new product development to ensure proper food safety control plans can be implemented. Oversees the fulfillment process related to food safety. Maintains problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing concerns/issues. Participates as an active member in GMP/HACCP, safety, and process development. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Food Operations Experience Experience managing food operations with a proven track record within a fast-paced environment. Proven experience leading a diverse team. Experience executing a HACCP plan State/Local Food Safety Certification; (ie. HACPP Manager, PCQI, ) High level of experience and knowledge of food safety requirements Management experience Must possess solid business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to think strategically. Motivates and inspires the team to achieve the goals, to strive for excellence and constant desire to improve and drive their business. An excellent communicator that is comfortable communicating with different levels of co-workers and managers within the store and organization. Ability to accept full accountability for the performance of your team and a proven track record of achieving business directives.
