Visiting Assistant Professor - Information Security & Digital Forensics

About the position Information Security and Digital Forensics Department invites applications for a non‑tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor of Information Security and Digital Forensics, beginning Fall 2026. This is a one‑year temporary appointment, with possible extensions up to two additional years, subject to successful review and university approval. The appointment has a 3/3 teaching load and includes both in‑person and online teaching in BS Digital Forensics, MS Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, and MS in Artificial Intelligence programs. Courses may relate to cybersecurity, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, databases, and related subjects. Primary Responsibilities Teach courses assigned by the Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics. Provide service to the Department of Information Security and Digital Forensics. Functional and Supervisory Relationships Reports to the Information Security and Digital Forensics Department Chair. Job Requirements Demonstrate ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within a diverse campus community. Minimum Qualifications A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field from an AACSB‑accredited institution. ABD candidates considered. Preferred Qualifications Evidence of teaching effectiveness in different modalities (in‑person, asynchronous, synchronous). Experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Experience designing and implementing experiential learning activities. Experience as an information security practitioner and/or possession of information security certifications or credentials. Working Environment Typical office and classroom environment.
