American Mechanical Services, LLC is seeking a motivated, professional Sales Representative and Account Manager to develop new commercial and residential business while managing and growing existing customer accounts.

This position is responsible for selling HVAC, plumbing, boiler, preventive maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation services. The right candidate must be comfortable meeting with homeowners, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, business owners, and other decision-makers.

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour base pay
• Commission paid on qualified sales 
• Additional earning potential based on individual performance, gross profit, account growth, and collected revenue 
• Vehicle and expense arrangements may be discussed based on experience and territory 
• Full commission structure will be reviewed during the interview process 

Primary Responsibilities

• Generate new commercial and residential sales opportunities 
• Sell HVAC, plumbing, boiler, maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation services 
• Develop relationships with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, homeowners, and commercial clients 
• Manage assigned customer accounts from initial contact through project completion 
• Follow up on estimates, proposals, service recommendations, and outstanding opportunities 
• Conduct site visits and gather information needed for accurate proposals 
• Coordinate with field technicians, project managers, dispatch, and company leadership 
• Present customers with clear repair, replacement, and maintenance options 
• Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales and service process 
• Identify additional service opportunities within existing accounts 
• Assist with preventive maintenance agreement sales and renewals 
• Track sales activity, customer communication, proposals, and follow-ups within company software 
• Ensure all pricing, commitments, and project expectations are approved before being presented to customers 
• Help resolve customer concerns and maintain long-term account relationships 
• Represent the company professionally at networking events, site meetings, and customer appointments 

Ideal Candidate

• Previous HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, construction, property-management, or outside-sales experience preferred 
• Experience selling commercial service agreements, repairs, replacements, or construction projects is highly preferred 
• Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills 
• Able to explain technical recommendations in clear, understandable terms 
• Comfortable working with both residential homeowners and commercial decision-makers 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently 
• Strong attention to detail and documentation 
• Able to manage multiple accounts, estimates, and open opportunities 
• Honest, dependable, and focused on building long-term customer relationships 
• Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, networking, and in-person sales 
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required 
• Basic computer and CRM experience required

The successful candidate must be willing to prospect consistently, communicate clearly, stay organized, and take ownership of their customer accounts. This position has significant earning potential for someone who can build relationships, close profitable work, and retain long-term customers.

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $20.00 per hour plus commission
Location: Charleston, South Carolina and surrounding service areas
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours customer meetings or networking events as required
