This position is responsible for overseeing the processes of the department on a daily basis and to ensure effective operations.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Supervising office staff including registration, clerical, administrative, unit coordinator, etc.
- Managing workflow and delegating duties
- Assisting manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Providing leadership, direction, and coaching to staff to help reach potential
- Training new office staff
- Assisting manager with daily operational needs as required
- Attending meetings in absence of manager
- Acting as resource and/or escalation point for staff, physicians, employees, and managers
- If not maintaining/processing time sheets/payroll, overseeing it
- Coordinating and assisting with office staff functions such as scheduling patient appointments, physician coverage, answering phones, completing patient intakes, calling to confirm appointments, and entering daily patient charges
- Maintaining a database, projects, or programs on an ongoing basis
- Generating reports
- Performing miscellaneous other duties as requested

Minimum qualifications:
High School or GED
Field of study: High school
Years of experience: 1 to 6
Specialized knowledge:
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
1 to 2 years related experience as team leader or supervisor with 6 years progressive, related experience, preferably in a medical setting
Work shift: Day
Scheduled weekly hours: 40
