Senior Major Gifts Officer

A leading New York City cultural institution is seeking a Senior Major Gifts Officer to support the growth of its major donor program, raising approximately $10M annually. This role manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects and securing six and seven figure gifts. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of ~150 high-net-worth households with capacity for $25K+ annual gifts and $1M+ capital gift Conduct 60–80+ in-person donor meetings annually to cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts Secure six and seven-figure major, restricted, and campaign gifts Develop tailored fundraising strategies, proposals, and donor communications Identify and qualify new prospects in partnership with prospect research Track donor activity accurately in Raiser’s Edge Represent the organization at donor events and engagements, including evenings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred 8–10+ years of fundraising experience Proven success closing 5-, 6-, and 7-figure gifts Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM Strategic, collaborative, and results-driven NYC philanthropic and cultural institution experience strongly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Syndicatebleu
