Project Manager

Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator Coordinate, administer and enforce Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure field operations and Ravago sites comply with federal, state and local regulations, meet required supplier EHS protocols, Ravago EHS program and policies, and that all employees work in a safe environment implementing Ravago's environmental initiatives. Assist the Director of HSE and the Site HSE Specialists companywide. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Assess hazards of manufacturing processes and implement safety systems to protect employees and the environment, focusing on life-critical procedures and operational safety. Develop, maintain, revise and enforce systems and programs to promote compliance with EHS and DOT regulations, initiatives, procedures, and policies at local, state and federal levels. Maintain EHS and DOT training documents/files and update as necessary. Interface with Plant Management and Corporate EHS Team to support a safe and healthy culture. Plan and conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly safety audits and inspections of equipment and facilities; identify hazards and ensure compliance is met; implement corrective actions. Provide timely follow-up on violations and corrective actions, including remedial training as needed. Lead health, safety and environmental education for remote Ravago DOT employees and field staff; participate in project planning meetings with status updates. Assist in incident reporting and investigation findings (industrial accidents, near-misses, injuries, property damage) and implement corrective actions. Determine causes and implement preventive measures to ensure SOP effectiveness. Lead DOT and field employee safety training (PPE fit testing, industrial hygiene testing as needed) and coordinate annual Safety Day Training. Support facility management in developing initiatives that promote safety culture. Develop and maintain a site-specific Emergency Response Plan. Maintain OSHA 300 log and environmental permits (air, water, storm water, etc.). Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and distribute as needed. Conduct regular facility evaluations to ensure EHS compliance and interface with plant management. Prepare and present audit reports to management, EHS and risk management teams. Establish rapport with site personnel to facilitate communication, coaching, and continuous process improvement. Review and approve site-specific safety plans, Job Loss Analysis (JLA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Coordinate with dispatch to monitor daily field activities; respond to contractor Safety RFIs as needed. Enforce administrative stop-work authority where required. Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) for HSE new hire and refresher training, including managing training plans, LMS course creation, user enrollment, and regular updates to Site Leader / Plant Manager. Coordinate with RHA and Corporate Insurance Manager as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of EHS. Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) Must have experience achieving results in EHS with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; strong time management; ability to work independently; detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications 1. Education High school education required; post-high school education a plus. 2. Experience Knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, DOT). 2+ years of experience in Health, Safety and Environmental fields. Experience in chemical processing or manufacturing plants preferred. DOT experience a plus. Work Environment / Conditions Environment may be shared with constant noise; schedules may exceed 40 hours per week based on business needs. Physical Requirements Regular communication; active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing; may lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
