Applied AI/ML Software Engineer (Asset Management)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience in AI/ML engineering
• Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages
• Strong Python skills and experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and OpenAI tools to develop and maintain production code
• Proficiency with large datasets and data science
• Understanding of AI/ML algorithms and techniques, AI agents, and natural language processing
• Experience deploying and scaling AI/ML models on cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and the ability to assess and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security; ability to advise peers on safe practices
• General knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, using creative approaches to build agentic solutions and address technical challenges
• Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in coordination with relevant systems
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate their outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices, and share reusable approaches with the team
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation
• Create architecture and design documentation for complex applications and ensure development work meets design constraints
• Analyze and visualize large, varied datasets and produce reporting to support ongoing improvement of software applications and systems
• Identify hidden data issues and patterns, using findings to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Contribute as an experienced member of an agile Asset & Wealth Management team to deliver secure, stable, scalable technology products that support our business objectives
