Position Summary Sam's Club #6609, 34220 Monterey Ave, Palm Desert, CA 92211‑2096 What You’ll Do Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools and resources, communicate effectively with the team, and be flexible to work in other areas. Prepare food according to item specifications, understand and plan future and mass productions, prepare for seasonality, and adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management, and operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality. Drive area performance by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, and providing member service—acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, handling payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues. Act as a brand advocate by developing, influencing, and inspiring others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style, understanding roadblocks, and assisting in training. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and apply these in executing business processes. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. I acknowledge that the position requires successfully completing all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Food Safety Certification. Food Service Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
