Position Overview

Heartwood Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily housekeeping operations within our community. The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other areas of the facility are clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming.

This individual will lead and support the housekeeping team, help maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure services are provided in a professional and compassionate manner to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping staff on a daily basis
• Ensure resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other areas of the community are cleaned and maintained according to established standards
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are being met
• Train, coach, and provide ongoing guidance to housekeeping staff
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of housekeeping employees
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and housekeeping equipment
• Order supplies as needed and ensure proper storage and use of all products
• Ensure staff follow all infection control, safety, sanitation, and facility policies and procedures
• Respond to housekeeping concerns or requests from residents, families, and other departments in a timely and professional manner
• Work closely with facility leadership and other department heads to maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment
• Assist with hands-on housekeeping duties when needed
• Address employee performance concerns and report significant issues to management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience working in an assisted living, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or similar environment is a plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection control practices
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift
• Dependable, professional, and committed to providing a clean and welcoming environment for residents

Compensation

$23.00 per hour
