Confidential Search Solutions (CSS) is partnering with a leading national financial services and insurance organization in San Antonio, Texas, to identify experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorneys for a remote long-term contract opportunity . This role will collaborate across a sophisticated in-house legal team handling complex matters including  property damage, insurance coverage, hail and wind claims, and bad faith litigation . While attorneys may be based anywhere in Texas, strong familiarity with Texas litigation is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance defense litigation matters, including property damage, coverage disputes, and bad faith claims
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to outside counsel through all phases of litigation
• Review pleadings, motions, discovery, expert reports, case evaluations, and settlement recommendations
• Support preparation of corporate representatives for depositions, mediations, and related proceedings
• Collaborate with claims professionals, legal teams, and business stakeholders on litigation strategy and resolution planning
• Assess legal and financial risk exposure and provide guidance on settlement, mediation, and trial strategy
• Monitor case progress, legal spend, budgets, and reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and litigation status reporting

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active attorney license in good standing
• Minimum of 4+ years of litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems

• Construction Defect or Product Liability Defense
• Deposition preparation and witness coordination
• Mediation, settlement negotiations, and civil trial experience
• Experience directing and managing outside counsel

• Fully remote long-term contract opportunity (12–24 months expected)
