Club Manager – Planet Fitness Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Club Manager will oversee club operations, ensuring a positive member experience and financial stability, while maintaining the high‑energy atmosphere of the Judgement Free Zone. Club Performance: Proven ability to manage performance using P&L statements and KPIs to drive results. Responsibilities Grow, develop and build a winning team by utilizing best practices in hiring, training, coaching and performance management. Use training tools such as Planet Fitness University to hold the team accountable for essential learning. Teach the team to provide +1 service; observe, teach in the moment and lead by example. Ensure every member receives a friendly greeting upon entering or exiting the gym through a clear and enthusiastic hello and goodbye. Develop a plan to drive EFT by maximizing KPIs in the club, meeting assigned goals for BCM, tour percentage, employee retention, member engagement and regional inspections each month. Respond to member service submissions in a timely, professional and solution‑oriented manner to create raving fans. Foster a culture of adaptability by encouraging open communication, collaboration, and experimentation with new ideas. Champion change by introducing new systems and processes, leading change‑management efforts and guiding teams through transitions with clarity and confidence. Ensure proper open and close procedures; own the business 24/5. Create an effective schedule that meets payroll grid hours; schedule weekly with a balance of support from management and staff. Ensure the team’s knowledge of critical information such as marketing promotions, corporate initiatives and new policies. Develop the assistant manager into a future leader with on‑the‑job training in delegation, accountability and performance management. Perform weekly bank deposits to ensure timely deposit of club revenue. Show flexibility with the schedule, willing to change it if coverage is needed. Conduct daily member experience walkthroughs to ensure the facility is clean and in working order. Conduct 1‑v‑1 sessions with Assistant Manager to align responsibilities and develop them as leaders. Manage Outlook email and calendar to keep tasks completed and meetings attended on time. Use club systems and reporting tools to monitor equipment functionality, labor, payroll accuracy and key performance metrics; identify trends and partner with leadership to address gaps and opportunities. Model ethical, professional and compliant behavior in all interactions, maintaining confidentiality and promoting a culture of accountability and respect. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts. Frequent walking throughout the facility. Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Reaching, bending and kneeling as needed for stocking and cleaning tasks. Ability to work in a busy, noisy fitness environment. Occasional use or exposure to standard cleaning products, with appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment. Compensation $55,000 per year with opportunity for quarterly bonus.
