Budget & Fp&A AnalystTo support continued growth, improve financial visibility, and enhance decision-making, the Finance team requires a dedicated Budget & Fp&A Analyst.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBudgeting & ForecastingSupport and co-lead the annual budgeting process with the Director of Finance, coordinating input, timelines, and final deliverablesDevelop and maintain monthly/quarterly rolling forecastsPartner with department leaders to prepare and refine budgetsAnalyze actuals, budget, and forecast variances, identifying drivers and risksFinancial Analysis & ReportingPrepare monthly financial reporting packages with key insightsBuild and maintain dashboards and KPIs for financial and operational performanceConduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisionsPerform trend analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability analysisBusiness PartneringAct as a finance partner to department heads on spending, budgeting, and ROISupport strategic initiatives with financial modeling and business case developmentCommunicate financial performance clearly to non-finance stakeholdersProcess Improvement & SystemsOwn day-to-day administration of Adaptive Planning, supporting annual budgeting, forecasts, system functionality, and reporting capabilitiesStreamline and standardize budgeting and forecasting processesIdentify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityImprove data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for reportingAssist in implementation or optimization of Fp&A toolsCost Management & ControlsMonitor departmental spending against approved budgetsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficienciesReview and maintain departmental allocations, updating budgeting and forecasting models as cost structures or organizational needs changeEnsure expenditures align with financial plans and company objectivesSupport to Accounting & Close ProcessCollaborate with accounting during month-end closeEnsure accurate expense classification for reportingAssist with accruals, reforecasts, and financial reconciliations as neededDay to Day ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and updating forecasts in Adaptive Planning, including incorporating actuals and revising assumptionsMonitor personnel requisitions and update headcount and compensation assumptions within the budgeting and forecasting modelPreparing and distributing monthly financial reporting packages and dashboardsWorking with department managers to review budget vs. actuals and understand variancesSupporting the annual budgeting process, including collecting input, updating models, and coordinating timelinesPrepare monthly financial reporting packages to Board of Directors and ManagementBuilding and refining reports and dashboards to improve visibility of financial performancePerforming variance analysis and summarizing key drivers for leadershipAssisting with scenario modeling and ad hoc analysis to support operational and strategic decisionsMonitoring departmental spending and following up on unexpected variances or trendsIdentifying opportunities to improve or automate existing reporting and planning processesSupporting month-end close by coordinating with accounting on accruals, and reclassesAd Hoc Reporting requests as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field2–5+ years of relevant Fp&A, corporate finance, or accounting experience, with hands-on budgeting and forecasting responsibilityExperience administering or working within Fp&A systems, such as Adaptive Planning, preferredStrong financial modeling, Excel, systems, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesEstimated Salary $75,000-$95,000 based on experienceEducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldLanguage SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical directives and the ability to write reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and general public is essentialMathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsReasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form and the ability to deal with problems involving several variablesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
