Physical fitness for continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting, is necessary. Responsibilities and Essential Functions Provide a visible security presence. Conduct regular rounds of industrial and commercial premises to deter intrusions, inspect doors, windows, fire exits, mechanical rooms, and other potential access points. Monitor and secure windows, doors, fire exits, mechanical rooms, and other areas to ensure they remain sealed. Document daily activities and irregularities in detailed reports (e.g., property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, fire hazards, equipment failures, or temperature control issues). Respond promptly to alarms, report disturbances, and contact emergency services (police, paramedics, or fire departments) as required. Follow company protocols by contacting the Manager when appropriate. Inform individuals of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items. Assist in building evacuations during emergencies. Exercise crowd control as required by the job site. Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor or as dictated by customer security needs. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Hold a Level 3 security officer license and pass a Texas Public Safety Commission background check. Demonstrated customer service orientation. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations. Strong critical thinking and sound judgment. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Visual acuity and hearing ability sufficient for observing and collecting pertinent information. Capacity to perform physical activities requiring extensive use of arms, legs, and full-body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, and standing for long periods.
