Manufacturing Operator

Summary The primary role of a Manufacturing Operator is to set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment using established processes for the manufacture of medical components. Roles include, but are not limited to: extrusion, molding, braiding, or grinding. This person may work with manufacturing personnel, maintenance, quality assurance, and technical teams. Duties and Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production machinery such as thermoplastic extruders, line‑supporting equipment, molding machines, monofilament braiders, centerless grinders, and RF tipping platforms. Document activities accurately and completely. Follow sequences of operations while performing techniques such as cutting, bonding, inspection, and packing. Work with (and near) inks, isopropyl alcohol, and other manufacturing‑related liquids. Comply with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), general safety and manufacturing procedures, and company practices and policies. Read, comprehend, and communicate in English. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills required: inventory software and Microsoft Office. Other skills: mechanically inclined, detail oriented, basic math skills. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 35 pounds.
