Job Highlights

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and elder populations employing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that tackle immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Provide dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing impairments.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.

• Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Flexibility in modifying therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Strong clinical insight and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
