Project Planning Coordinator

Project Planning Coordinator Populous is a global design firm that brings people together around their passions through immersive architectural experiences. We are seeking a Project Planning Coordinator to support Project Managers on large public assembly projects, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in crafting project plans utilizing Deltek Vantagepoint. Oversee and adjust project plans as needed in response to any issues. Contribute to the formulation of project proposals by utilizing project plan data. Track proposal approvals and update the project plan accordingly. Collaborate closely with the Project Accountant and Project Manager to manage invoice submission and tracking. Monitor project expenses within Vantagepoint and identify discrepancies compared to the planned budget. Compile and distribute project financial reports for the Project Manager and Principals. Requirements for Success Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Highly self‑motivated, able to excel in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team. Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint is highly desirable. Experience with Power BI is preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Project Management, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the AEC industry. Travel may be required. Overtime may be necessary.
