This CNC Lathe Machinist role supports growing demand for tight-tolerance thermoplastic components across industrial and high-performance applications. This is a stable, well-maintained 52-person facility focused on long-term employment — not a revolving-door production shop. --- The Work You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision plastic components Work on Method and Tsugami CNC machines (Fanuc controls) Install tooling, set offsets, verify workholding, and prove out setups Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Make offset and tooling adjustments to maintain tolerances Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot as needed Accurately document production activity Maintain a clean and organized work area Collaborate with team members to meet production goals You’ll be trusted to run independently while maintaining high quality standards. --- Machines, Controls & Equipment You’ll work with: Method CNC Lathes (Fanuc Controls) Tsugami CNC Lathes (Fanuc Controls) Precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Experience with Fanuc-based controls is important for success in this role. --- Materials You’ll Work With Engineered thermoplastics High-performance polymer materials Specialty plastic components Machining plastics requires different tooling, speeds, and chip management than metal — experience with polymers is a plus. --- What We’re Looking For Required: High school diploma or GED 3+ years of CNC lathe experience Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes independently Experience with Fanuc controls Ability to read blueprints and hold tolerances Strong understanding of tooling and offsets Comfortable working in a production environment Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented Preferred: Experience machining plastics or thermoplastics Experience with Method or Tsugami machines Ability to make minor program edits at the machine Experience operating multiple machines concurrently --- Why Machinists Like Working Here Plastic Distributors & Fabricators offers: Clean, climate-controlled facility Very well-maintained equipment Stable 52-employee team Long-term employment focus On-site cafeteria Professional, organized production flow Overtime opportunities This is a steady, structured environment with real career stability. --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $28 – $35/hr (DOE) Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri) Overtime: Available before or after shift as needed Benefits details discussed during interview. --- About Plastic Distributors & Fabricators (an Evantic Company) Plastic Distributors & Fabricators, Inc.
