CNC Lathe Operator

Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $19.00- $20.00, DOE
Duration: 3 months+
Hours : 2:30pm- 11:00pm (Training is on first - 6:30a-3:00pm)

Summary:

• Set up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety conscious and quality-focused manner.
• The role is accountable to load parts in the machine, cycle the machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Utilize hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish and package all production in accordance with the router steps and stamp off operations before moving to the next operation.
• The position runs productions lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
• 6+ months' experience operating CNC machines is required (Lathes or Mills)
• Ability to speak and understand the English language
• Intermediate computer and math skills to be able to measure parts and learn to program/program the CNC machinery and robot
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
• Maintain high attendance standards
• Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
• Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly
• Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery.
• Ability escalate problems as they arise within the department.
• Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment.
• Adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.
