Position Summary

This position is responsible for the reliable delivery and continuous improvement of the company’s recurring reporting. The analyst will own a portfolio of recurring reports and analyses used by leaders across the organization, ensuring every deliverable is accurate and delivered on schedule. The role also includes building and maintaining automated workflows that replace manual processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.

The position combines technical development with operational ownership. The analyst will automate processes where possible, document workflows so they can be supported by others, and exercise sound judgment in determining when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate. The role works closely with analysts across the department and with leaders throughout the company, and offers significant opportunity for professional growth for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Own recurring reports and deliverables from start to finish, making sure they go out accurately and on schedule.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated reporting workflows using SQL and scripting tools.
• Monitor automated processes, diagnose failures, and fix routine issues quickly.
• Recognize when a problem calls for escalation, such as a logic change, a new data source, or a rebuild, and bring it to the right person with clear context.
• Document your processes and automations thoroughly enough that a teammate could run or fix them without you.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from across the business, turning loosely defined questions into clear, useful analysis.
• Explain numbers and findings clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, finance, economics, business administration, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries against large data sets (experience with SQL Server preferred).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language used for automation, such as Python or Google Apps Script.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• A track record of owning recurring work and delivering it on time, consistently.
• Strong documentation habits, with examples of processes or code you’ve documented for others.
• Sound judgment about what to handle independently and what to escalate.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including comfort working with senior executives.
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment with tight deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience building or maintaining scheduled or automated data pipelines.

Status

Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday)
Salary range: $65k to $85k, depending on experience
