About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Logistics Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership in the Mobile market. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive leadership in logistics and transportation operations, developing and executing operational strategies to support company growth and profitability, and building strong relationships with key industry partners. This role requires a seasoned logistics professional with a strong understanding of port-related transportation, particularly within the Gulf Coast logistics market, and established connections within the port authority community. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Logistics Operations include overseeing operational performance, productivity, service levels, and profitability, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 13 years' logistics experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record of leading and developing operations management teams. Strong business judgment, excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work both strategically and in the day-to-day operations. The role also involves serving as a senior representative of the company with various stakeholders and positioning the organization for continued growth in the Mobile and Gulf Coast transportation market.
