About This Role The Registered Nurse - Perinatal Educator functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and cultural differences. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them with the team.
