Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work in a collaborative environment where teamwork is key. You will be part of a skilled group of three healthcare professionals, including two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. With a focus on orthopedic outpatient care, our environment is energetic and focused on patient-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify individual goals and treatment needs, tailoring solutions accordingly.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, typically handling one patient per hour to ensure personalized, quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement effective treatment plans that enhance patients' mobility and pain management.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's condition, promoting functional independence.
• Advocate for non-surgical interventions and educate patients on alternative treatments to minimize reliance on medication.
• Design and facilitate customized fitness and wellness programs, supporting overall health improvement.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate effectively with both patients and team members regarding treatment outcomes.
• Provide encouragement and motivation to patients, fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing and rehabilitation.
• Engage in ongoing evaluations to ascertain the effectiveness of treatment plans while remaining adaptable to patients' changing needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to enhance patient care through integrated treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We primarily cater to individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery and sports-related injuries. Our clients range from active adults to elderly patients, all of whom are looking for tailored treatment plans that promote lasting recovery and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in New Jersey with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques suitable for orthopedic conditions.
• Ability to design and implement effective therapeutic exercise programs tailored to clients' needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, enhancing patient care through communication and teamwork.
• A background in sports medicine is a plus, given our focus on active rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
