This contract role is available for immediate start and will continue through the end of the current school year. Located near vibrant New Rochelle, NY, you’ll work closely with students who benefit from targeted academic and behavioral supports, applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to foster growth and success.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for New York State
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a high school setting
• Knowledge and application of ABA strategies in classroom environments
• Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
• Clear communication abilities when working with students, families, and school staff
• Collaborative spirit for participation in IEP development and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Use evidence-based ABA techniques to promote academic, social, and behavioral progress
• Collect and analyze student data to adjust interventions as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and interventions
• Liaise with parents, instructional staff, and related service providers to monitor and communicate student development
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for Special Education
