Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized therapy programs as established by the supervising physical therapist, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation techniques, and surfeit modalities guided by the physical therapist's direction.
• Utilize our electronic medical records system to document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Conduct patient education sessions to demonstrate proper techniques, postures, and develop tailored home exercise programs for optimal recovery.
• Collaborate with the physical therapist and clinic staff to facilitate seamless patient transitions and ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as required, promptly communicating any significant changes in the patient's condition to the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. This role allows you to work with a diverse patient demographic, including athletes seeking to return to their sport, active adults, and seniors aiming to improve mobility and independence. Your direct interactions will assist in recognizing patient needs, tailoring treatments, and contributing to overall health improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; preferably from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensure: A current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for patient interaction and teamwork. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage patient schedules are essential for maintaining an efficient level of care.

Compensation and Benefits

Mend Force Physical Therapy values its employees and offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
