New Business Conflicts Clearance Analyst

Location and Work Arrangements Boston, NYC, DC (Remote) – Weekday shifts: 12pm–8pm, 2pm–10pm, 5pm–1am (ET) Chicago, Houston (Remote) – 1pm–9pm, 4pm–12pm (CT) Los Angeles/Palo Alto (Remote) – 2pm–10pm (PT) Responsibilities Conduct thorough conflicts checks and maintain accurate records in the conflicts database. Review and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts of interest requiring resolution. Collaborate with the New Business Conflict Clearance team, Conflicts Attorneys, and the Office of the General Counsel to resolve ethical conflicts and facilitate new matter openings. Communicate with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information, clarify discrepancies in the iManage request form, and validate requirements for each conflict check. Perform corporate research using internal and external resources to verify information and understand corporate relationships and structures. Coordinate with the Client Accounting Department and other relevant departments to ensure consistency and integrity of database information. Provide coverage for department functions, including after‑hours and weekend support as needed to maintain continuous operation of conflicts resolution processes. Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate productive work relationships. Manage firm resources responsibly, comply with firm operations, policies, and procedures, and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Proficient with firm computer software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and quick to learn new systems. Familiarity with conflicts database software, preferably iManage or Intapp, and a general understanding of the conflicts resolution process in a legal or professional services context. Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment, working effectively independently and collaboratively. Flexibility to adjust hours and work the necessary hours to meet operating and business needs. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree. Experience 2+ years of experience in new business conflicts analysis at an Am Law 200 firm strongly preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in regulatory, audit, compliance, or risk review roles involving analysis of client and matter information will also be considered. Experience using iManage or Intapp is preferred; similar platform experience in comparable high‑stakes environments will be considered. Compensation and Benefits The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed below. Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000. Eligible for a discretionary year‑end bonus.
